First considered was the matter pertaining to a brawling/stabbing incident at the Boulevard, Santiago District, this city, last March 23, 2026, which took the lives of two (2) persons. Accordingly, she intimated that the concerned barangay had regularly deployed/assigned barangay tanods to conduct roving/patrol in the area, however, the said barangay tanods are not equipped to handle such situations such that she made a proposal to seek assistance from the city’s law enforcers through augmentation of police visibility. After a brief deliberation, the body, upon her formal motion and duly seconded, resolved to pass Resolution No. 2026-0316, requesting the Honorable City Mayor to direct the Chief of Police of the Pagadian City Police Station to intensify police visibility at the boulevard, Santiago District, this city, through the deployment of police personnel thereat more particularly during nighttime purposely to ensure public safety, maintain peace and order and prevent the occurrence of violent incidents.

Marcos, Jr., Republic of the Philippines, declaration of a State of National Energy Emergency by issuing Executive Order No. 110, dated March 24, 2026. Accordingly, the issuance of such EO 110 was made in response to the escalating fuel prices and the volatility of global energy markets which pose significant risks to the country’s energy supply and security. Furthermore, it authorizes and enjoins all local government units to adopt urgent and coordinated measures to ensure a stable and adequate energy supply and to safeguard the national and local economy.
