During discussion, Honorable Revelo responded to the query of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, stating that the Committee could not establish a staggered payment scheme based on actual data since the City Treasurer’s Office had not provided any. He added that the draft ordinance generally aligns with Republic Act No. 12001, or the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA), which grants tax amnesty for unpaid real property taxes incurred before July 5, 2024, and is available until July 5, 2026.
